The Beer Army Foundation is proud to present and invite you to participate in the 11th Annual B-Day Pub Crawl that will go in beautiful Grants Pass, Oregon on Saturday, 5 November 2016. We'll be stopping at a variety of pubs, taverns, breweries, bars, taprooms and even an alehouse in celebration of the 241th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
While many of the participants may be active or veteran Marines, not everybody will be. This is an opportunity for friends and family to get together in camaraderie and observe the Marine Corps birthday. More importantly, the opportunity for you to celebrate your freedom and to remember those who have served(ing) in the armed forces to make those freedoms possible.
We are raising scholarship funds for an Oregonian with the help of several local establishments. All proceeds from the pub crawl and shirt sales go to fund this scholarship. The official pub crawl T-shirt features the event logo fully printed on the front and event sponsor logos printed on the back.
You can also show your support by purchasing the official pub crawl T-shirt and wearing it on 10 November 2016 or making a donation. Also, consider conducting your own pub crawl simultaneously on 5 November 2016 in your home town. All proceeds go to benefit the Beer Army Foundation scholarship fund. So please buy a shirt regardless if you can attend the pub crawl in Grants Pass, OR or not.
Our scheme of maneuver is:
We’ll start at Base Camp (Ric's Corvette Bar and Grill) at 1330 (1:30 PM) where all participants will meet, organize (receive your official pub crawl shirt and additional instructions) and we have chow (optional as food is NOT included). After introductions, beers and the cake cutting ceremony, we’ll then conduct a movement to contact on a predetermined route where we’ll make a stop at each participating location (pub, bar, etc.) along the way finishing at Shannon's Pub. All stops, starting and finishing points are within walking distance from each other in Grants Pass, OR.
Ric’s Corvette Bar and Grill, The Alibi Tavern, The Speak Easy (B-Day message from the Commandant of the Marine Corps), The American Legion, Mill St. Mug Shots, The Wild River Pub (Grab a slice with your beer, chow is continuous and we are half way there!), G Street Bar and Grill, Griess Family Brews (B-Day message from the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Lejeune) and Shannon’s Pub.
We would like to give special thanks to all the sponsors listed below who have already donated to help make this event possible and fundraiser a success.
